Our Philosophy for PhD Training

Our success as a research centre is closely linked to the success of our PhD program. Consequently, student welfare and progress is at the heart of the school. We have a graduate board made up of senior academics, support staff and students that are constantly making sure things are running smoothly.

In addition, we have a dedicated mentor/representative working to support you and make sure the management deal with any issues you may have. Our yearly satisfaction surveys tell us that this translates into happy postgrads, which makes us happy too :-)

In short, our students are properly supported by their supervisor and the rest of the staff here, as they make the transition into the research community. It's no wonder that many people who graduate from the ORC stay on working here, or return later in their careers.
